IVR (Interactive Voice Recognition) Telephone Registration

    768-UMPI (207)768-8674

Up-to-date course schedules are now available on the UMPI web site at: http://www.umpi.maine.edu/programs/scheds/index.htm

    Plan your schedule

    · See your advisor to obtain the RAN (Registration Authorization Number) to be used for telephone registration. If you don't know who your advisor is, or if you need to change your major or your advisor, go to the Advising Center located on the first floor of South Hall.

    · Be sure you have the correct CRNs (5 digit course registration numbers).

    · Be sure to check the comment lines for each course to determine if you have met the course pre-requisites.

    · Please have either alternate sections or courses ready in case your first choices are not available.

    When you call

    ® Dial (207) 768-UMPI (8674).

® Listen to the menus all the way through (at least the first time!).

    ® Select "Registration."

® Select the semester for which you want to register.

® Enter your ID number (for most students this is your social security number).

® Enter your PIN number (your birthdate) the first time you use the system. Enter your birthdate in MMDDYY format (e.g. July 5, 1974 is 070574). During this first call you will be required to change your PIN for security reasons. Students who wish to re-enter their date of birth as the new pin number may do so.

® Enter your RAN (Registration Authorization Number) which you will receive from your advisor.

® Proceed to add and drop courses to create your schedule.

    After you call

Report any difficulties with the IVR system to the Registrar's Office at (207) 768-9540.

If you are not able to create a viable schedule, see your advisor.

Students can print their own class schedules and grade reports using the computer application DSIS (Distributed Student Information System). DSIS is available on all windows-capable IBM PC's in UMPI computer clusters. On these computers, look for the DSIS icon under the "Connections" group in Windows.

Grade Reports are no longer mailed at the end of each semester. If you need a copy of your grade report, you may print one using DSIS.
