Teaching: Dr. Whittington teaches core courses in the Recreation and Leisure Services department and teaches outdoor skills courses. Her favorite courses to teach are Natural and Cultural Resource Protection and Canoeing/Canoe Camping skills on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.
Hobbies/Interests: Kayaking, Reading, Swimming and Mountain and Road Biking

Lenny Cole, Adjunct Instructor
Education: B.S. in Health, Physical Education and
Recreation (University of Maine at Presque Isle)
Teaching: Mr. Cole has taught for 38 years in the Fort
Fairfield School District. At UMPI he teaches the
Introduction to Rock Climbing course in the
Spring and leads trips for the outing club.
Hobbies/Interests: Mountain Biking, Cross-Country and Downhill Skiing, Photography and Music
