This is Social Work?! Well, not really...
This is Robyn, a social work student, ice climbing in Acadia National Park. The experience taught her about teamwork, conquering fear, and stretching her limits—lessons good for any degree or any career. "When I started college, I anticipated the academic work, but never envisioned wearing ice crampons! But, I've been doing all kinds of things I never imagined, like planning seminars, attending conferences, going to art galleries and crawling through caves!" Robyn has taken full advantage of adventurous learning opportunities at UMPI. Those experiences will prepare her for anything life throws her way. "But I won't be climbing Mt. Everest!"
