Conferences & Special Programs

Aroostook Right to Read's mission is to promote literacy encompassing reading, writing, listening, and speaking across the curriculum among students, educators, and parents.

In order to do this we will:

• Encourage the school and community to participate in reading awareness activities.
• Honor young writers in grades 4 to 8 at the annual Young Authors' Institute culminating in the publication of student work.
• Disseminate information relevant to literacy.
• Recognize an Aroostook County educator annually for outstanding work in the field of literacy.
