Library Usage Policy

Public Access Computers (First Floor) 

The UMPI library is a public supported institution. The general public and the campus community (faculty, staff, and students) are welcome to use the library’s public computers, located on the first floor. The workstations exist to facilitate research. Use of these workstations is governed by the following policy. 

·        Computer Services Usage Policy

·          Campus Community should use the computer labs for all other computing needs

·         All patrons must use their proper username and password to log into their computer. Non campus patrons can ask for a username and password at the circulation or reference desk. At the discretion of Library staff, non-campus users may be limited to one hour of usage per day. Five minutes before close, patrons must log off the computer.

·         Game playing of any kind, unless academically related, is strictly prohibited

·         Dedicated CD-ROM workstations are not to be used for word-processing, email, Internet searching, etc.
