The Special Collections area is located on the ground floor of the Library. This area houses four different collections, each of which has its specific emphases and usage requirements. Some rare and fragile items are not suitable for general circulation. The Aroostook County and Maine Collection includes a limited amount of material that is of value in genealogical research; however, genealogy is not the major purpose of this collection. Please contact a librarian if you wish to use the Aroostook County and Maine Collection for genealogical research.
