Institutional Studies: Comprehensive projects which examine complex questions related to the educational process.  Examples  include studies of student retention, equity issues, and enrollment studies.

Information Reporting: The collection, maintenance and dissemination of core institutional data for the purpose of meeting required data-reporting requirements of external agencies, providing a stable information source to promote general awareness of data trends, and responding to ad hoc requests.  Examples include responses to external surveys such as Peterson's Guide, America's Best Colleges Survey, and Us News & World Report Survey.
