  • Academic and professional interests: Kevin McCartney¹s academic interests deal with historical geology, especially micro fossils recovered from the ocean by deep-sea drilling. His current research is focused on silicoflagellates (single-celled algae with silicous skeletons) as well as a few minor groups such as ebridians and sponge spicules.
