Health Education, Bachelor of Science, Community Health Promotion Concentration The Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education is a four-year program that prepares students to pursue one of two career tracks: School Health Education or Community Health Promotion. The program emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge and skills in cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of health education. A student must successfully complete a General Education Core, a professional sequence, and concentration requirements for a total of 128 hours. The Community Health Promotion concentration prepares students to conduct health education and health promotion activities in community, corporate, or clinical settings for diverse populations around a variety of health issues. Graduates may apply to graduate schools in health education or public health and are qualified to take a national examination to become a Certified Health Education Specialist. |
