Health Education and Physical Education Faculty The Non-Teaching Degree in Physical Education is designed for students interested in entering such fields as fitness and wellness, cross-country ski coaching, or a self-designed area.
Students are expected either to take a minor or develop, with advisement, an emphasis within the movement studies realm. Field Work is a 15 credit experience which explores employment opportunities in emphasis areas such as cross-country ski coaching, sports communications, wellness and dance. Field work experiences are not to be fulfilled in a public or private school setting.

All candidates for the bachelor's degree must complete the General Education Core of Courses, which totals 44 credits.

Self Designed Emphasis Area
The student has the opportunity to design a concentration consisting of a minimum additional fifteen credits of non-activity courses that reflect his/her interest(s). The course work would consist of courses already offered at this campus and the proposed course of study must be submitted to the Physical Education faculty for approval a minimum of 4 semesters prior to graduation.
