Physical Education, Bachelor of Science, Non-Teaching Degree, Self-Designed Emphasis
The Non-Teaching Degree in Physical Education is designed for students interested in entering such fields as athletic training, fitness and wellness, pre-physical therapy, or a self-designed area. Students are expected either to take a minor or develop, with advisement, an emphasis within the movement studies realm. Field Work is a 15 credit experience which explores employment opportunities in emphasis areas such as athletic training, pre-physical therapy, sports communications, wellness and dance. Field Work experiences are not to be fulfilled in a public or private school setting.

                  Self-designed program requirements
                  • The student has the opportunity to design a concentration consisting of a minimum additional fifteen credits of non-activity courses that reflect his/her interest(s). The course work would consist of courses already offered on this campus and the proposed course of study must be submitted to the Physical Education faculty for approval a minimum of 4 semesters prior to graduation.
