Physical Education, Bachelor of Science, Teaching Degree The Teaching Degree in Physical Education is designed specifically for the student who wishes to become a certified physical education teacher. Graduates of the program are eligible for teacher certification by the Maine Department of Education. This certification is recognized by other states and Canadian provinces with whom Maine shares reciprocity. In the selection of elective courses, students are encouraged to consult with their assigned faculty advisor. A student must successfully complete the General Education Core, professional education sequence, and physical education major requirements for a total of 128 credit hours. Students are requested to read the Teacher Education Program Requirements. |
