Academic interests:
Stuart R. Gelder's academic interests deal with Invertebrate Zoology and Microtechnique (microscopes and staining cells) as they relate to biological and environmental problems. His current research is focused on the biology of crayfish worms, which is one applied aspect of his broader teaching interest. Dr. Gelder is a well-recognized leading expert in studies of branchiobdellidans.
