Amnesty International
 
Purpose:  To bring people together to work to protect the human rights of all people. Amnesty International's mandate encompasses three main goals: 
 1.    The release of prisoners of conscience - men, women, and children imprisoned for their beliefs, color, sex, ethnic, origin, language, or religion, provided they have neither used nor advocated violence. 
 2.    Fair and prompt trials for all political prisoners. 
 3.    An end to torture and execution in all cases. 
Amnesty International is not affiliated with any political organization and is a grass roots movement. We do not expose or adopt any political ideologies.

Aroostook County Search and Rescue
 
Purpose:  The purpose of the U.M.P.I. SAR Club is to provide a service to all surrounding populations in regards to wilderness search and rescue.  Members of the group receive professional training in regards to both ground and technical search and rescue, as well as a membership to the National Association of Search and Rescue.

Chess Club
 
Prerequisite:  Open to students and community members interested.

Purpose:  To promote chess in the area. We organize chess tournaments in the Owl's Nest and they are open to all interested people.

Drama Club
 
Purpose:  To provide students of the University of Maine at Presque Isle community an opportunity to take part in drama and drama productions.

Games Club
 
Purpose:  To provide a friendly relaxed atmosphere for competition outside conventional sports through board games, role playing, or live action games.

International Students Club
 
Purpose:  To help internationalize the campus environment.  To provide a support group for international students.  To provide  forums for discussion of other cultures.  To teach leadership skills.  To teach cross culture communication. 

Year Programs: Fall Semester Programs: Presentations on a few countries, International Christmas party, trip to Orono for culture feast.

Outdoor Adventure Program International (OAPI)
 
Purpose:  OAPI is committed to providing safe, challenging, and enjoyable outdoor activities designed to enhance the personal growth and development of students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maine at Presque Isle as well as the development of community members. 

Year Programs: Fall Semester Programs: Instructional programs and trips in backpacking, white water rafting, kayaking and rock climbing.  Schedule for fall outings available at the beginning of the semester.

Purpose:  It is responsible for planning and implementing social, educational, and cultural activities on campus. 

Year Programs: Spring Fest,  Super Bowl Party, Movies, Comedians, Potty Press, Hypnotists, Speakers, Winter Weekend, and more!

Students with Disabilities
 
Purpose:  1. Is to bring together a diverse group of individuals with similar concerns and needs, to have a place where these concerns can be shared,  solutions discussed and support be given to help implement these solutions.
2. Is to have a place where, students with disabilities can come together to share their difficulties, triumphs, their dreams and possibilities for the future.

Rainbow Alliance
 
Purpose:  To provide a healthy, open, and safe social and informational environment to the gay community in and around the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

RHA
 
Purpose:  To promote student involvement in the management of the residence halls, as well as develop programs and activities for the University's  resident population.
