To match up students with the local youth of Central Aroostook County and provide mentorship, companionship, and leadership. This is a new Organization forming in the area and is looking for volunteers to be Big Brother and Big Sisters.

ENVOYS
| Prerequisite: |
Any student who will have completed one full academic year at
UMPI before becoming an ENVOY. The students are required to have a GPA of
2.00/or better.

| Purpose: |
ENVOY's are Student Orientation Leaders who spend the summer contacting new incoming students who have been assigned to them. The leaders are responsible for working with their group of students and leading activities during welcome week. ENVOY's are also responsible for keeping in touch with students for the first three weeks of school. They are considered a resource for new students.

First Year Experience Programmer (FYE)
| Prerequisite: |
Students applying for these positions must have at least one semester of residence in the residence halls at UMPI, be in good judicial standing with the University, and have a minimum GPA of 2.25.

| Purpose: |
These students are selected to work with the University's First Year Experience Program. The FYE Programmers design and run programs developed to help freshmen succeed in college.

Peer Advisors
| Prerequisite: |
Must have accumulated a minimum of 45 credit hours with a GPA of 2.5 or better, have received an endorsement from at least one faculty member, excellent communication skills, an ability to relate well with other students, and a strong desire to serve the University community.

| Purpose: |
Assist in the registration/orientation program, staff the Peer Academic Support Services (PASS) office, and assist with the College Success Seminar.
|

Resident Assistants (RA)
| Prerequisite: |
Students applying for this position must be in good judicial standing with the University, must have a minimum GPA of 2.25, and must have been a student at UMPI for at least one semester.

| Purpose: |
Resident Assistants are students who work for the Residence Life Office. These students receive training prior to the fall opening in order to help them assist their residents in succeeding in college. This training includes helping roommates resolve differences, helping students transition into college life, and how to assist individuals who may be in need.

Resident Director (RD)
| Prerequisite: |
Students applying for this position must have been an RA for at least one semester, must be in good judicial standing with the University, and must have a minimum GPA of 2.25.

Resident Directors are students who work for the Residence Life Office. These students receive training prior to the fall opening in order to help them supervise a staff of RAs and a building containing 20 to 160 residents.

Skyway Manager

Skyway Manager is a student who works for the Residence Life. This student receives training prior to the fall opening in order to help him/her supervise a building containing 20 to 35 residents.
