Sheila Belyea is a lifetime resident of Caribou. She has been quilting for about twenty-five years and for the past four years has been running the Country Farm Fabric store in Caribou. She also has helped organize a variety of quilt shows in The County, and has been teaching quilting at her home for the past ten years. She prefers traditional styles but has been known to experiment. (Value $500, bidding starts at $200)
Paul Carlson has recently retired after being an art teacher at Presque Isle High School for many years. His artwork includes watercolors and jewelry. A longtime resident of New Sweden, Paul has recently moved to Belfast, Maine. Paul was also a participant in last year's Rotary Art Auction. (Value $75, bidding starts at $40)
Tom Cote was born and have lived in northern Maine, and has recently retired as a art teacher at Limestone Community School. His specialty is wood carvings and his word has been seen for many years at area art and craft shows, and more recently at the Jewelry Box in the Aroostook Center Mall. His art is in private collections on all the earth's continents except Antarctica. Tom was also a participant in last year's Rotary Art Auction. (Value $225, bidding starts at $100)
Linda Crane is originally from Chicago, but came to Caribou in 2001. She started painting with a class assignment at age 9. She works in a variety of media, including watercolor, colored pencil and oil. Her work includes botanical drawings and landscapes and can be found in many corporate and private collections. Lisa Desjardins paints in several media, including watercolor, pastel and oil. Her love of the country and nature are portrayed in her impressionistic images. Her work includes many subjects from landscapes and costal scenes to animal portrayals. She began painting while living in Southern Maryland, having been inspired by the local plant-life. Lisa has been a contributor to the Rotary Auction for a number of years. (Value $85, bidding starts at $35)
Nancy Donnelly lives in Caribou and has been an artist since high school. She paints portraits, landscapes and still lifes in oil and pastel. She is a graduate of Moore College of Art, Philadelphia and has taught regional gifted and talented students for 16 years. Her ambition is to get an Irish landscape “painted right.” (Value $150, bidding starts at $75)
Michael Dulin has run a small homestead in Bridgewater for the past nine years. Previously, he has been an exhibit designer at the Bronz Zoo, worked in Hollywood as a scenic artist for television and in New York as a set designer. He presently works with acrylic paint and favors impressionism and abstract expressionism. (Value $200, bidding starts at $200)
William L. Duncan is from Caribou and teaches graphic arts at the Caribou Tech Center. He has been known as a photographer of local landscape and culture. A recent masters degree has extended his practice to include public art and teaching. Working with students, he continues to explore a variety of media from traditional graphic arts techniques through digital imaging. His current interest is art in the social context. Chester Gage has been doing oil painting for more than 30 years, starting at age 22. He is a self-employed forester and frequently displays at art shows in coastal Maine and has had a painting exhibited at the State House in Augusta. Chester paints a variety of subjects including landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and portraits. He has lived in Caribou for the past 36 years. (Value $275, bidding starts at $150)
Susan Gerard grew up in Washington D.C., where she was inspired by displays at the Smithsonian Institution. She has been making glazed pottery for thirty years, starting in high school and now lives in Madawaska. Her work has been at arts and crafts show throughout The County for more than ten years, where she has many loyal customers. ($75 value, bidding starts at $40)
Michele Green has a BA in Art from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and lives in Westfield. With encouragement from her artistic parents, she has been painting since childhood. While she works in varying media, most of her recent work has been in acrylic with several pieces reflecting her concern for the environment. Most recent projects include a commissioned set of three watercolor paintings and a mirror for the Discovery Museum in Bangor. (Value $400, bidding starts at $50)
Edith Katherine Greiner came to Presque Isle from Ireland in 1971, and has been teaching art at all grade levels in the Fort Fairfield schools since 1987. Her specialty is weaving. Recently she has been working with luxury fibers, such as silk, alpaca and chenile. (Value $80, bidding starts at $60)
Leigh Griffith came to Houlton three years ago from Farmington, Maine. She started quilting in 1992, after her son requested a quilt. Her work has earned ribbons at the Maine Quilt Show and the Vermont Quilt Festival. Her work has been sold to people from all over the country. (Value $45, bidding starts at $25)

Amy Leary has been painting since 8th, with inspiration from her grandfather, who was also an artist. She uses oils, acryrics and pastels and favorite subjects are trees, wildlife, botanicals and maps. She painted the coral reef mural at the Northern Maine Museum of Science and has painted five of the Caribou-Fest Caribou (included the one in front of Reno's), plus three of the bears for the Belfast Bearfest and a lobster for the Rockland Festival. She has lived in Bridgewater for the past 16 years. (Value $150, bidding starts at $40)
Stephen Leighton has been taking pictures for over forty years. Four years ago this Fort Fairfield resident left a career in the mental health field to seriously pursue this passion. His work has appeared in Photographers Forum and Echoes magazine. He displays his work at art and craft fairs throughout the state. Marcia Simonds is a resident of Presque Isle and works as a production manager for Media Analysis at Burrelles-Luce. Marcia has been a photographer since high school specializing in nature and particularly close-ups of flowers of all kinds. She is a recent winner of the WAGM Fall Foliage contest. Marcia has two photographs in the Rotary Art Auction. (Each has Value $50, bidding starts at $20)
Betty Burtt Snider has been drawing since age 5, and has never taken an art lesson. She has recently retired in nursing and presently works as a cashier at Walmart. Her work is mostly color charcoal and pencil has been shown at both TAMC and Cary hospitals. Betty has four pieces in the Rotary Art Auction, two pencil drawings (value $25, bidding starting at $10 each) and two acrylic abstracts (value $25, bidding starting at $10 each)
